How I Am Like A Pen

The first assignment for my speech class is an introductory speech. We are to choose an item and then describe two ways in which we are like that item, with specific details. I asked Lee to help me brainstorm, and this is what he came up with. I am definitely going to use it.

"I've got it," he said. "A calligraphy pen."

My interested was piqued. "Okay, let's hear it."

"Okay, well, then pen is mightier than the sword, right? Because words are very powerful and can be used for a lot of things. But a calligraphy pen, when used the right way, can create beautiful works of art. Like you do. It just depends on how you use it."

I'll flesh it out later. I'll probably post the whole speech when it's done. But it's a good start and I like it.
