Saturday and Sunday

Mostly, Saturday, I worked. Work is stimulating, but not quite interesting enough to write about. Business is of course picking up for Christmas. FYI There will be a VeggieTales party on December 15, at 11:00 or 1:00. We will be watching the new Pirates Who Don't Do Anything Sing-A-Long. That will be fun.

Then Saturday night Lee decided he wanted to take his grandmother to the movies. We stopped at Giant for frozen pizza and showed up at her house unannounced. (We're allowed.) We ate the pizza together, then took our coupons for December over to the Cinema Center. Unfortunately, the movie was sold out! Our back up plan was the theatre a mile away, a showing half an hour later. No coupons, but we have our student IDs, plus Nan gets a Senior Citizens discount, and kids are much cheaper there anyway. We took her to see Fred Claus (Nan loves Christmas movies very much). We were all pretty happy afterwards.

Then this morning I took both kids to Mass. I was so proud of them. They were wiggly of course but they participated. Olivia makes up words to the songs as we go along.

Unbeknownst to me, Lee had taken the day off from work. We were supposed to have the Rite of Acceptance today - a sort of presentation to the church of the people who are seeking to join the church next Easter. Lee had gotten to day off so he could be there! That makes me so happy. Too bad the rite got pushed back to next week. Next week, he will probably have to work. Too bad.

The rest of the day was a LAZY Sunday. Lee and I both worked on homework while the kids played. We had crackers & dip, plus egg sandwiches for lunch. Tonight's agenda: more homework. This Wednesday is the BIG DAY: we are having our Ultrasound and will hopefully find out what gender the baby is!

Cheers all!

Yay, the boys were asking when there was going to be another Vegetales party. That is sweet that Lee took the day off.... and a bummer that is was rescheduled. Ugh, why do these things happen? I can't wait to find out what our little teeny one is. It will be nice seeing you all also.

Rachel, thanks for the heads up about the Veggie Tale party. I hope we can make it.

How thoughtful and loving of Lee to surprise you with the day off for your special day. :)

Ooooo, how exciting about the ultrasound!

That was sweet of Lee to take the day off :-)

I bet you're excited about being able to hear/see your baby before he/she is born!
